WHAT IS ASSESSMENT CENTER (AC)?

Assessment Center

An Assessment Center (AC) is a comprehensive and strategic exercise where employers evaluate candidates’ skills through a series of individual exercises, group exercises and simulations.

Assessment Center (AC) can be used for:

Hiring

Promotions

Leadership Development and upskilling (known as Development Center or DC)

Moving beyond traditional interviews, an AC simulates realistic workplace scenarios to test each candidate’s competencies, aptitude, teamwork, and decision-making abilities.

ACs typically takes at least half a day to assess a group and may extend up to 3 or 4 days for larger groups.

BEHAVIOURAL EVENT INTERVIEW (BEI) / COMPETENCY BASED INTERVIEW (CBI)

A probing interview targeting the required competencies needed for the job or position. Common competencies regularly sought after by employers include leadership, agility, collaboration, strategic thinking and communication

PSYCHOMETRIC PROFILING

The use of technology to understand an individual’s personality, behavioral style and leadership disposition via a proven and reliable profiling technology (PEAKS Psychometric Profiling).
