Interviews are critical in employee recruitment and selection. However, many interviewers have never been formally trained, and it is well known that the traditional, non-structured interview has very little validity in assessing a candidate’s competencies and job-fit.

This training focuses on the objective and structured interview technique, which evaluates a candidate’s competencies and actual behaviour — not just what they say, but what they’ve done.

Behavioural Interviews, also known as Behavioural Event Interviews (BEI) or Competency-based Interviews (CBI), have proven to have scientific validity and higher predictive validity — meaning they are better at predicting future job performance.

The BEI technique is a structured probe strategy that is investigative in nature and identifies a candidate’s actual behaviour. This allows the Hiring Manager to make the best hiring decision with confidence.
